Today we are suprising Granny, and going to see her in St Germai – that’s outside Paris.
Mummy and I took a cab.
I was looking through the car window at all the new things I had never seen. Forest, Motorway …

Special private joke for Granny
Mummy told me not to be scared, that we were going back to  the civilisation (aka. Paris) tonight.

Today is a great day. It’s today the we are getting the Christmas tree. Well I don’t know exactly what a Christmas tree is, but Mummy has said it’s great and I believe what Mummy says.

So we went for a big walk all around the Marais to find the perfect tree.

After we went to the BHV to get some Christmas presents. Daddy took me it his arms to show the world how cute I am to everybody 😉

When Daddy was little he just loved the Beatles.
He has not changed … Strawberry fields forever.

BOO HOO Mummy took no pictures… And there were so many to take !
Pépé told me stories and I found them so funny I kept on smiling, so Pépé told them all over again 😉

I’m starting to have great fun with my Pépé 😉

My Granny thinks I’m soon going to have wrinkles … I wonder why.

Granny came for a little sleep over.

I’m going to sleep in my room with my Granny, so my parents can have some alone time.
Thank you Granny !

I’m growing bigger and bigger so Mummy arranged my closet with my 3 months clothes.
Look Granny how smart I am !

Just as we were going out, Granny arrived. So cool !
So Granny, Mummy & Daddy went for a long walk with my pushchair !

When we arrived home, Granny was waiting for us !
I had so much stuff to tell my Granny …

It’s now been a few days I’ve been hearing a lot about : “CRECHES”, “NOUNOUS” and Mummy going back to work in January.

I don’t have the faintest idea of what is a  “CRECHE” or a “NOUNOU” but all I know is that this morning Daddy took me to the Mairie and to lots of “CRECHES”.
Daddy told me to look poor/sad (*), cute & irresistible (**)!

Mummy promised me I would not have to be with a “NOUNOU”, as she has organized that Daddy (YES!) & Granny (YES! X2) take turns to stay with me, until I am old enough to go the bilingual “CRECHE” in the Marais with lots of British kids like me !

PERFECT ! cuz by the way Mummy was speaking about “NOUNOUS”,  I was starting to get really scared !

(*) POOR & SAD Face

(**) CUTE & IRRESISTIBLE Face

It’s thanks to my Granny’s perseverance and fighting power that my Mummy & I are British.
When Mummy was born only men could pass on the British citizenship. But Granny wrote to Margaret Thatcher – British Prime Minister at the time, to explain how much this was unfair and chauvinist.
A few months after sending her letter, Granny received a call from the British ambassador in Buenos Aires.
The ambassador told her that my Mummy’s and my Auntie Emma’s citizenship had been granted and that their passports were ready – and most important that it was very unusual and exceptional as it came directly from Home Office.

It’s only 27 years later, that Granny & Mummy understood the full extent of this event.

It has not only allowed Mummy to become British, but it has also guaranteed my citizenship too.

THANK YOU SO MUCH GRANNY !

It’s official I’m BRITISH !
Mummy, Granny & me went to get my British passport today !
Mummy was delighted.
Granny was so emotional.
Great Granny was with us in spirit.

A whole week without my Granny – James is not OK !
I missed Granny … and I’m delighted to see how much Granny missed me!

My Granny Angela is cool!
She loves me & my toys.

Mummy, Daddy, Granny & Me went for lunch and big walk in the Marais.
Granny found the first excuse to push the pushchair & me. (Mummy & Daddy should be together!)
Then Daddy wanted to have a turn …
I think mummy should sell Pushchair tickets, we could make a fortune !

Aren’t I the coolest kid on the planet?
At 5 weeks old I’ve got my own French ID Card & Passport and in the process of getting my British Passport.

I’m not quite sure I’m going to love having my 21 days old picture on my Passports for the next 10 years 😉

Since I was born, we practically never use my pushchair.
Why? Well because Mummy won’t carry my beautiful pushchair Bugaboo Bee  down and up 4 floors… That’s really not a nice Mummy !!
Every day Granny asks if we can use the pushchair …
and every day Mummy replies that she wants to wait until we have a pushchair garage
and every day she calls Dominique the restaurant owner who promised to do the job, to ask when it will be done

TODAY … no pushchair garage … but sympathetic Granny carried my pushchair down so I finally could have a ride on it.
To reward Granny, Mummy let her push me all around Bastille and I just loved it.

PS : For the Rue de Lappe Readers :  Dominique the restaurant owner promised we should have our Pushchair Garage by Friday – so keep your fingers crossed.

Do you know this music ? This is what my Mummy starting singing to me when Granny confirmed she has found the famous paper we were missing yesterday…

We then got dressed and went to visit Dr Sala to get his countersignature on my Passport photo.
This is me in the waiting room – I’m wearing a Combi which is for too big for me – cuz Mummy was late and had no time to dress me up ( boo hoo).

So we waited for Granny to arrive, and went back to the British Embassy to get my British registration finalized.

To make it perfect Granny gave me some milk in the Embassy – so I officially drunk my first tea in England ;).
Thanks Granny and THANK YOU for fighting for our right to become British (Mummy, Emma & me now).

Today we ( Mummy, Granny & me) went to the British Embassy to register me & get my British Passport !
Boo hoo Mummy was so concentrated on filling of the registration form that she completely forgot to take any pictures … It does not matter as we will return tomorrow with the Original Copy of Mummy’s papers who were missing – despite Granny asking Mummy several times if she had them!

Then we went to WH Smith – the British culture temple, where Mummy got some Jelly Babies, Granny got some Pickled Onions and the only one really interrested in litterature ;)  – Myself – got another book for my personal library !

I just love my Granny 😉
She comes everyday to  see me, hug me, kiss me.
I love to smile at her … I think my mum is starting to get jealous 😉

Today Granny went home after a week with Mummy & me.
I would like to take this chance to say how much I love my Granny.

Granny, both Mummy & I want to tell you how much we appreciated your stay with us. I think Mummy really needed some Mummy help & training (especially regarding my neck & my burping).

We love you !
and are looking forward to see you on Tuesday.

I don’t know if I’ve told you, but I love Baby Gap clothes.
Look at my new pijamas from Granny.
Daddy & me are comparing our Gap stripes !

This evening we have a great chat with Auntie Emma. We all laughed a lot – but I cannot post the conversation in-extenso because Super Granny could get into trouble 😉

Auntie Emma & Granny started imagining what I could be …

Today Granny created my new playground with Mummy’s vintage Sesame Street cover.

I have now a daytime play area and I can have some tummy time 😉
